Special Programmes
Anime@ACM
4th to 20th March 2005
ACM, Empress Place
Come trace the history of Japanese animation or anime, as it is commonly known, at ACM this March! Come trace the development of anime and manga from its beginning some 600 years ago to its present form in an interactive exhibition and get a rare chance to view some of our local manga artists̢۪ works. You can look forward to screenings of classic as well as contemporary popular anime films. Learn to draw manga-style comic characters in our workshops and meet popular anime and manga characters in the flesh! Meet local animators as they share their experiences on making animated films and you might even get a chance to meet a popular Japanese manga artist! Pit your drawing skills against other manga fans in our manga drawing contests and win attractive prizes!
Admission to the exhibition and most programmes are free. Some charges will apply for some of the screenings and workshops.
