This started as a comment but grew too long so I posted it instead

Gods... that is just so...

Honestly, I don't object to people wearing fur items. But *only* if it was due to necessity, and the animal was killed in a humane fashion, instantly, and that it was used in other ways as well (meat, for example, or bones for tools). There are ways to do so respectfully, and this was and still is practiced by many native peoples around the world.

This scenario, on the other hand, is not respectul. There is no respect for the life of the creatures. There is no necessity for the use of their fur. There is complete wastage of life, and horrendous cruelty to still-living creatures. And all in the name of fashion?!

Also, let me clarify my statement that seems to be misunderstood in your message. I know I mentioned before that animals did not feel sadness or misery. But I did not mean that such cruelty can be condoned because animals don't feel sadness or whatever. What I was trying to say at that time is that animals don't linger on the past. They don't feel sadness or misery as we know it, and though they do feel a sense of loss, they recover from it quickly. There is a natural cycle of things.

They do not feel sadness in this situation either (once again, not meant to condone the acts). They don't cry about their fate or anything. They just accept it and try to cope with it (and, as you can see, often fail at it judging by the number of animals in the videos that have gone insane).

I don't know if you totally condemn the use of fur, and our final outlooks might completely disagree with each other. But what I'm trying to say here is that though we have different outlooks on the issue, at least we agree on one thing here: the atrocities committed here must NOT be allowed. It goes against the natural cycle of things with only a trivial benefit (fashion). It is needlessly cruel and utterly wasteful.
