Hey guys, sup. Sorry if I've been ever so silent. Can't say why but anyway, do check out Arts Central, The Front, 9.30pm this 19th June. There'll be a TV interview of (some) artists who worked on Singapore's Greatest Comics. If you remember our friend from Animation, Aizat, he'll be on the air as well as my colleague, Zaki.
It's kinda disappointing at times that, you're trying so hard to be noticed and recognised for either your works, efforts or ideas, yet they never really do. I can't help feeling frustrated or aggravated over what happened - they had printed out my a comic page of mine already for the interview, but since they only had enough time for 3 more people, they decisively left me out. Instead Guy X picked a guy who hailed from some comic university, a girl with american accent and Aizat whose work Guy X obviously likes. Probably all this over a guy like me, who looks terrible and doesn't speak a lot. I guess it wasn't too hard to strike me off.
Likewise for the case with a previous comics companym, I was obviously striked off the artbook for the reason that I hardly color my work and just don't freaking paint as good as everyone else.
I figured that people really don't dig my crap. So one day I'm just going underground and look for a more niche audience... And maybe earn enough peanuts to trade for a happy meal.

That majorly sucks man.... I'm sure they could've slot you in somewhere... how much harm can a few mins do? The rest of the interviewees talk less or something. :(
I guess I just lack the confidence or charisma the others had, moreover the guy is rather bias himself so that really works against my character. I was pretty upset but it's a lesson learnt and experience gained none the less.
Even though a few of the speakers chosen weren't much of speakers themselves. I guess the guy's good buddies get the priority. I'm just a mere stranger in the field. Nobody, no reputation. If I was some well-known artist I'm sure they'd be grovelling at my feet. These are the type of people in our industry...
